About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as they arise. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate with staff and visitors. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences during the shift.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
Operate and maintain awareness of surveillance equipment, communication devices, and other security-related tools as required for the post.
Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal procedures while performing armed patrol duties at the government location.
