About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, interacting with the public, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license as required by the client.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Monitor access points and control the entry and exit of individuals and vehicles as required by site protocols.
Report any irregularities, unusual situations, or security-related incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
Utilize and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
