Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns found during patrols or while on post.
• Maintain a visible presence as an armed security-related professional to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Work closely with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken during each shift.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.
