Requirements

  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must have two or more years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections, or possess a college degree.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor the premises for suspicious activity and report any irregularities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or incidents at the location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required by site protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding observations, incidents, and activities during the shift.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and emergency situations.
