As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will support the needs of those at the location. This position requires both an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for both patrolling and driving duties.

Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify the identification of individuals entering and exiting the location as required by site policies.
• Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or security-related concerns encountered during patrols or while on post.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as necessary in response to incidents at the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Follow all company and client protocols regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.
