As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will perform routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will remain highly visible, interact professionally with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while utilizing technology to support your duties. Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at government locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain awareness of the environment and report any security-related concerns or unusual situations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions or information as needed while maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.
