About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Bike in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and reassuring presence. You will conduct regular patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas as required to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies, including those specific to armed patrol duties in a government environment.
