As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing information and guidance in accordance with site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions within the government location.
  • Document security-related incidents and complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
