About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you conduct routine patrols and interact with the public to deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions.
  • Assist with access control measures, verifying credentials and authorizations as required by site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports as directed by Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
