About The Position

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report observations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete reports and documentation related to security-related incidents and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed during emergencies or incidents.
  • Maintain awareness of the location's protocols and procedures, adapting to changing conditions as necessary.
