About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Building Patrol in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report observations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors and employees with inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
Complete reports and documentation related to security-related incidents and daily activities.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed during emergencies or incidents.
Maintain awareness of the location's protocols and procedures, adapting to changing conditions as necessary.
