Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Rover Patrol Driver in Crozier, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors at a government location by following security-related procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor access points and perform security-related screening and/or credential verification as required, including controlling entry, logging visitors, and directing individuals to the appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or local law enforcement partners as directed by policy.
  • Complete accurate written reports, logs, and other site documentation, and communicate status updates and/or incident details to supervisors in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
