As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. This armed post supports a people-first culture by providing professional customer service, detailed reports, and teamwork across shifts while acting with integrity and adapting to changing needs.

Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, trailer yards, dock doors, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access for employees, visitors, and vendors, including verifying identification, managing sign-in processes, and directing traffic flow at entry points and truck gates.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency services when required.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of patrol activities, access events, and incidents, and assist with monitoring cameras and alarms as assigned by site procedures.
