As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and customer service. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or license. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site-specific post orders; carry, handle, and store assigned equipment per policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documenting, and communicating updates through the chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, restricted spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access control points by verifying identification and authorization, managing visitor processing, and providing escorts for personnel and/or deliveries as required by site policy.
