About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed - Financial Site in Hunt Valley, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication and quick response to security-related concerns. Working with Allied Universal, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset while putting people first, collaborating through teamwork, and acting with integrity on every shift.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Carry and maintain authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies while performing assigned duties.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, ATM and drive-up areas, entrances, and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or law enforcement as needed.
Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, monitor access points, and communicate security-related information promptly via radio, phone, and/or written documentation.
