Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed - Financial Institution in Richardson, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a financial institution location as a patrol officer, completing routine rounds, staying highly visible, and documenting security-related activity with clear communication and customer service. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, and help to deter incidents through professional presence and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements and a Texas Level III armed certification.

Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold a Level III Armed Certification for Texas roles.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas while maintaining professional interaction.
  • Complete routine reports and activity logs, monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems as assigned, and notify appropriate parties of maintenance issues or unusual conditions observed during patrols.
