Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, security-related concerns, and/or access control issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while documenting observations, completing required reports, and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with de-escalation, following established response protocols, and helping to address security-related matters involving patients, visitors, staff, and property.
