About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Federal Patrol in Glendale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. This post requires an Armed Guard Card and/or License, and offers a role where agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity matter every day.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Control access through screening, credential checks, and visitor processing; direct foot traffic and/or vehicle traffic according to post orders and site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite staff and public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs such as incident reports, daily activity reports, and patrol documentation, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
