About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Facility Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license, and a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of experience as Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
Monitor access points by verifying identification, controlling entry and exit, screening for prohibited items when assigned, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and local public agency partners as needed.
Complete detailed reports and logs on patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and maintain assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with policy and applicable regulations.
