About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Experienced in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A minimum of 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for an armed post at a defense-related location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, or policy violations according to site requirements.
Support emergency and continuity procedures by assisting with evacuations, restricted area control, and other security-related duties based on the location's operational needs.
