Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to members, guests, vendors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems, and report suspicious or unusual activity to site contacts and/or dispatch to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations as directed, noting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
