As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will contribute to a secure environment while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and any security-related activities performed during the shift.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as necessary for incident response and reporting.
  • Remain alert and observant to identify and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards within the location.
