As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Richmond, VA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) at a designated site for a six (6) month commitment, with the option to pick-up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Support closing and opening activities, assist with visitor and employee inquiries, and follow post orders related to alarms, restricted areas, and other client-directed security-related protocols.
