About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role in Greenville, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access activity, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized entry while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
  • Support site operations by preparing accurate reports, maintaining awareness of sensitive areas and materials, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity through proper channels.
