About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will complete patrols, document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas and the perimeter on a regular and random basis, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns per post orders.
- Monitor access control points, verify identification and authorization, and document entries and exits as required by site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
- Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, alarms and other security-related events, and communicate observations to the oncoming shift.
