You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license, backed by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, integrity-driven teamwork.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and local public responders as needed.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to controlled spaces and sensitive operations.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate observations and service needs to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
