About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Day Shift ACT235 in Hatboro, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as one team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Act 235 Qualification is required for Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a government location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying the proper authorities and/or site representatives.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors according to site requirements.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
