About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening operations, including verifying identification and/or access authorization, managing visitor sign-in, and screening persons and belongings for prohibited items in accordance with post orders.
  • Operate and monitor screening equipment such as walk-through metal detectors, hand wands, and X-ray systems, escalating suspicious findings and/or policy violations through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document screening activity and incidents, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts.
