As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a corrections environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure atmosphere for all individuals. Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience or 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas within a corrections environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with the enforcement of facility rules and regulations.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or security-related incidents.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement as needed during emergency and/or security-related situations.
