About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Certified Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post for a dependable professional who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to every shift.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant activity to site leadership and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, following established protocols for screening, visitor processing, and restricted area access while maintaining a professional presence.
Support public-facing operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related requests while remaining prepared to address unusual activity and/or emergency conditions.
