About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Campus Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report unusual conditions, equipment issues, or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Support incident response by assisting with facility lockups, checking gates and restricted areas, and maintaining detailed activity logs and reports related to daily patrol operations.
