About The Position

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support compliance with site rules, post orders, and applicable procedures.
• Work with local authorities, transit personnel, and Allied Universal leadership during routine operations and/or emergencies, providing clear communication and detailed incident information.
