About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Campus Patrol Full-Time in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence while armed as required by the post profile.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Collaborate with school administration and/or local law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations, following all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
