Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Lobby in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with clients and visitors, and respond to situations as needed. This armed role offers the opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while working with a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or access.
Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas of the financial institution to help to deter suspicious behavior.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees to address concerns and provide assistance.
Document incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
