Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Lobby in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. This armed post allows you to play a key role in supporting a secure environment, working as part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment for staff, members, and visitors.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed based on incidents occurring at the location.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential security-related concerns specific to financial institutions, such as suspicious behavior or unauthorized transactions.
