As an Armed Patrol Officer serving a financial institution location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, responding to incidents, and acting as a trusted presence for clients and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, or an associate degree or 60 college credits, or a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the financial institution to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal.
  • Follow all protocols for handling security-related incidents, including those requiring an armed response, in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or authorization for entry as required by site policies.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
