About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Area Patrol in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as an armed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will build strong relationships with site personnel and visitors while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, team-driven, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Control access at gates, doors, and checkpoints by verifying identification and credentials, processing visitor entries, and documenting deliveries and pickups in accordance with site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuations, and coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, access control actions, and incident response, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
