As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will control access to restricted areas, document activity, and work as part of a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity while delivering through teamwork.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities in a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, fare areas, parking areas and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including crowd control, conflict de-escalation and coordination with site management and local law enforcement.
  • Carry and handle an assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with all applicable licensing requirements, post orders and Allied Universal policies, including proper retention, storage and documentation.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, monitor alarms and CCTV when assigned, and communicate clearly by radio and/or phone to support timely incident response and post accountability.
