As an armed Security Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with directing foot traffic to support orderly operations.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
