Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and emergencies with professionalism. You will document activity, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver a people-first experience grounded in integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones on a regular and random basis to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifying appropriate parties, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or on-site staff as directed.
  • Control access points by checking identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, and managing visitor processing according to post orders and applicable policies.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document patrols and incidents, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.
