Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and/or authorization for entry, and document visitor, contractor, and staff access activity according to site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Support screening and access procedures for employees, visitors, and deliveries, and complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation in a timely manner.
