About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Access Control Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a government location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and document security-related activity with clear communication and professionalism. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas as needed, and respond to incidents while delivering customer service that reflects integrity and teamwork. This is an armed and driving post, supporting an agile and reliable team.

Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing visitors to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; report irregular activity and/or policy violations through required communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, public areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
