About The Position

As a Security Officer Area Patrol Driver in Orange, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor documentation, and report irregularities, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate with supervisors, site contacts, and emergency personnel as needed.
