You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points such as gates, doors, and loading docks, verifying authorization, directing visitor and contractor check-in, and assisting with truck and delivery traffic flow as needed.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders when required.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate observations during shift handoff, and report maintenance issues such as damaged fencing, lighting outages, and/or malfunctioning doors.
