Job Description As a Security Officer - Area Driver Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • New York State Security Guard License required.
  • Security Experience ‐ 6+ Months required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and approved emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with hospital staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, checking for proper authorization, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and supporting a professional environment.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate significant information to site leadership and oncoming personnel.
