As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to resident concerns with strong communication and customer service. You will document observations, report issues, and support property staff and local responders as needed. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential streets, common areas, amenities, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor access points and community entry areas as assigned, verifying authorization and directing traffic flow and visitor routing as needed.
Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in a timely manner using required systems and/or paper forms.
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to appropriate parties to help to deter unwanted activity and support property operations.
Communicate with residents, property staff, and/or emergency services as needed, providing clear updates and coordinating response actions.
Support community rules and policies through courteous presence, verbal de-escalation, and reporting when violations are observed.
Perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and common-area spaces during patrols, reporting unsecured conditions and/or damage.
Use company-issued equipment such as radios, flashlights, and mobile devices in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site procedures.
