About The Position

As a Security Officer Alarm Patrol Driver in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will support daily operations through strong customer service, clear communication, and a team-focused approach grounded in integrity, reliability, and care.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution location, including warehouses, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter access points, as assigned.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries, helping to support authorized access and documenting irregularities when observed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity, property-related concerns, and/or operational disruptions by maintaining a visible presence and communicating observed conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
