Job Description As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • 20+ Years of Age
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
  • Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees by following site-specific, security-related procedures, government facility policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, lost property situations, and/or suspicious activity, and notify the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout public areas, employee-only areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter prohibited activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification and/or credentials, monitoring gates and doors, and directing individuals to the proper location in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate via radio and/or telephone, and coordinate with on-site staff and local responders when required.
