About The Position

As a Security Officer - Airport Patrol in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-traffic government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control. You will engage travelers and staff with strong customer service, communicate clearly, and use computers and/or tablets to document activities. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and authorized access procedures at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting conditions and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, document observations, and communicate notable activity via radio and/or phone per site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activity, and irregular conditions, and assist with emergency response activities as appropriate for the post.
