About The Position

As a Security Officer - Airport Patrol in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at this government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and excellent customer service will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your communication skills and attention to detail support access control and other security-related responsibilities. Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities according to company and client guidelines.
Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, local authorities, and/or client representatives as needed.
Remain alert and aware of the surroundings throughout the shift, adapting to changing environments and conditions typical of a government location.
