Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points and assist with the flow of authorized personnel and/or vehicles as required by site procedures.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on observations, incidents, and/or activities during assigned shifts.
Remain visible and approachable to assist employees, visitors, and/or guests with security-related questions or concerns.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to address security-related issues as they arise.
